Fall Baseball

Fall Ball is purely an instructional baseball league for returning (and new!) players.  We understand that many players play other sports in the fall and, as such, Fall Ball is designed to be light in nature with practices and games being focused on learning the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching and baserunning.  Fall baseball is essentially the "spring training" for the next spring baseball season and is a great time to learn new skills, try new positions and get extra baseball reps.  Baseball is a sport of repetition!

Fall baseball is also great for the players that will be playing up in a new division come next spring (examples: "League age" 8s moving up to AAA next spring and "League age" 10s moving up to Majors next spring).  This is a great time for those players to continue having fun practicing the fundamentals and learning new baseball rules as they adapt to the next division of play so they hit the ground running come next spring.

West Boylston Little League Fall Ball goals are:

  1. Continue the learning and baseball skill development from the previous spring
  2. Prepare the players for the division they will be playing next spring
  3. Get in extra baseball reps
  4. CONTINUE HAVING FUN!

Divisions
Depending on the number of players and volunteer coaches that register, West Boylston Little League strives to generate the following Fall Ball divisions based off of the player's previous spring "League age": click here

  • Majors Division (10-11 year olds)
  • AAA Division (8-9 year olds)
  • AA Coach Pitch Division (6-7 year olds)

*Please note that this will be a first-come, first-served basis.  If there are a limited number of coaches who volunteer then the first players who register will have priority.  So the more coaches the better!

Schedule

The Fall Ball season runs from early September to the end of October.  Generally, there will be 1 weekday practice and 1 weekend game (Saturday or Sunday) per week.  The Majors and AAA divisions will combine players from West Boylston, Boylston and Berlin and play each other in addition to playing Gibbs (Sterling) and Clinton.  The AA Coach Pitch Division will generate West Boylston teams and play teams from Boylston and Berlin.  Fall Ball registration opens in August with a small cost per player and there are no player tryouts required.
